Rae Morris Counselling Group is a small group practice formed by Individual and Family Therapist and Registered Clinical Social Worker Rae Morris, in response to a high demand for more neurodiversity-affirming mental health and counselling supports in British Columbia, especially for Neurodivergent youth and adults.
We are a small, carefully selected team of registered social work clinicians* whose practice is grounded in values of social justice and equity, and a person-centered (we find ways to learn and understand your needs, values, and goals), trauma-informed (we go at your own pace while allowing opportunities to foster insights and growth), strengths-based (we explore and rediscover the innate gifts that you have), and neurodiversity- and identity-affirming approach to counselling and therapy. We work collaboratively with clients (meaning we explore what works and what does not work, and use an approach that fits your needs) to disrupt deficit-oriented perspectives on mental health and neurodivergence and to support people in enhancing self-awareness and acceptance, well-being, confidence, mental health, and relationships. Not all of our clients are neurodivergent. We offer supports for people across the lifespan and we work with many LGBTQ2SIA+ clients, including non-binary and gender diverse peoples.
All of our clinicians live, work, and play on the ancestral, traditional, and unceded territories of the Coast Salish Peoples, including xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tseil-Waututh) nations.
